Emmanuel Community has a bold dream to build a Mission, Worship & Community Campus in Ellen Grove, Brisbane. We invite you to join us as we seek to ‘cross over and enter the land’ God has provided for our future.

The Vision for a Home

After working with our key ministry partners, Novum architects and consultants, we are excited to share that our DA has been accepted by the local city council. This is a key outcome we have been working towards, which sets us up to pursue development onsite.

Latest News

Feb 2025 - Development Application accepted! This is a strategic step allowing for development on the site, and adds additional value to the land.

2024 - Continuing rounds of adaptations were requested this year and responded to by our consultants.

June 23 - DA submitted The Steering Team submitted our DA to Brisbane City Council & formalised in August. A first round of minor adaptations were requested and updated.

June 23 - Land valuation completed: This advice demonstrated a marked positive increase in the value of the property since the time of purchase. A donor management plan was also drafted and a local engagement team explored stakeholder relationships in the area.

July 23 - Community Survey: The results of the Emmanuel Community survey were received and collated. These were overwhelmingly encouraging and display the broad wisdom and faith of our community. This feedback was shared between the Community Council, SLT and Steering Team, and provided a clear affirmation for moving forward.

May 23 - Community Engagement Meeting 2: Another positive meeting which included feedback, reflections and questions from members. Read Meeting Notes.

April 23 - Community Engagement Meeting 1: We had a positive meeting where the Steering Team shared the first phase of design plans, received feedback and questions from the floor, and shared some of our emerging challenges. Terry invited a broader pool of people to contribute to this vision and Pat launched a Prayer Campaign for the project. Read Meeting Notes
