Being both Contemplative and Charismatic - a Dialogue

(with help from St Teresa of Avila)

Saturday 11 May

Faber Centre, 11 Sir Samuel Griffith Drive, Bardon

9:15 cuppa, workshop 9:45am-12pm

If you can't attend in person, a Zoom option is available

Are you someone who is being drawn to a quieter, more contemplative form of prayer and life,

yet have lived a life open to the power and gifts of the Spirit, and remain committed to this?

How do they work together?

Is this normal particularly as you get more experienced in the Christian life?

This workshop is a chance to share your experience and learn from others about the journey of being drawn to a more contemplative life and remaining Charismatic in your spirituality.

Peter Shakhovskoy will provide a stimulus for our dialogue with a short presentation on the journey St Teresa describes in the Interior Castle. We will then engage in a process of conversation together in smaller groups and the larger group using the Ignatian process of Spiritual Conversations which Pope Francis has put at the heart of the synodal journey.

This is a chance to share with brothers and sisters on the path with you and to collectively gather wisdom for our Community and beyond.

Please register so that we can make sure we have enough leaders for small groups (both in person and on Zoom).

Cost: $10 to cover donation for the venue. Please contact events@ec.org.au if cost is a problem
