eKids vision is to create opportunities for primary school aged children to personally encounter Jesus and to pave ways for them to find their place in the Church now, while laying the foundation for a life of faith and mission in the years to come.

We do this through…

  • regular Children’s liturgy of the Word that makes scripture come alive!

  • preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation that awakens kids to the beauty and mystery of God’s presence in our lives.

  • offering creative opportunities for kids share richly in the seasons and celebrations of the Church in ways that are meaningful and relevant to them.

  • approaching all we do in that ‘current of grace’ of the Holy Spirit who calls and empowers even the youngest of us to be missionary disciples in our place and time!

Our team is passionate about evangelisation to kids and supporting parents, knowing that they are the first educators of their kids in the faith.  We are always excited to welcome new kids to any of our activities!

Regular events

Children's Liturgy of the Word

  • Sundays during 10:30am Mass (school terms) for primary-school aged children.

Children’s Sacramental Program

Preparation for the Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation, First Holy Communion, Penance) for children. All families welcome.

Some things to note:

  • Preparation generally occurs between April and July each year. Please contact us if you are interested in your child participating. We follow the Brisbane Archdiocesan guidelines for Christian Initiation for Children. These include:

    • Children may receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in the year they turn eight (generally Grade 3).

    • In the year children turn nine (generally Grade 4), they make First Communion and, as part of their preparation for this, celebrate their First Reconciliation in the second rite.

    • In the year children turn ten (generally Grade 5), they celebrate the Sacrament of Penance with individual confession and absolution in the first rite.

These ages offer a good guideline, but readiness is about much more than just age so if you feel your child may be ready to begin, or continue, their Sacramental preparation this year, we’d love to chat with you! Please contact:
