Sr Therese Mills mgl
Sr Therese has been with the Missionaries of God’s Love Sisters for 11 years, working primarily in the area of faith formation and evangelization with young people. She is the Vocations Director for the MGL Sisters and has recently moved to Sydney from Canberra with two other sisters to begin a new MGL Sister Mission House. Sr Therese is the new National Youth Co-ordinator with Catholic Schools Youth Ministry Australia and has almost completed her Degree in Counseling. She has a heart for everyone to get to know Jesus in a personal way and has worked in youth ministry for over 20 years, including coordinating youth groups, school retreats, and forming and equipping young people for mission.
Kym Keady
Kym is a wife, and mother to three wonderful children. She is passionate about her family, young people, sexuality and raising the status of motherhood in society. A counsellor by profession, Kym has been speaking to and working with young people for 17 years, and is the co-author of
Girl Talk
, a ministry resource for pre-teen girls. Despite all the 'worldly achievements', Kym's heart remains at home with the 3 people she will profoundly affect like no other audience she will ever have the honour of speaking to.
Jan Heath
Jan is a wife, mother, grandmother and lay evangelist. She has ministered extensively throughout Australia, Africa and the Pacific for over 15 years. She is the founder of 'Evangelise Now', a ministry to train Catholics to share their faith with those whom God brings them into contact with.
Karen Atkins
Karen is a wife, mother and founder of “Authentic Hearts”, a ministry journeying with women to transform hearts and to restore hope. She believes that we are each uniquely created, gifted and called, and is passionate about speaking this into the lives of women and companioning them as they explore their God-given dreams and desires, passions and purpose.
Workshop Presenters
Chantale Wilson
Chantale is married to Arthur and they have four beautiful kids. While her career as an educator has seen her working in both Catholic Education and Community Kindergartens, her voluntary ministry has seen her doing anything from children’s liturgy to workshops for women and everything in between. She is the co-author of
Girl Talk
, a ministry resource for pre-teen girls. In all that she does, Chantale brings her passion and desire to see the children of God reclaim their identity as heirs of the King and become beacons of hope to the world.
Kath Brownlow
Kath is a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, teacher, mentor and counsellor. Kath has a particular interest in the areas of loss and grief and draws on her personal experiences and expertise in dealing with these issues. She has been a volunteer with Lifeline, and is an ongoing member of the Grief and Loss Support Group in her parish co-facilitating a healing program. She is passionate about women and their healing in all stages of their lives, inspiring them to become more fully alive in God.
Jessica Ryan
Jessica is the former Diocesan Youth Ministry Coordinator for the Toowoomba Diocese. She is a young woman with the desire to see young women set free. She has been volunteering with the Bella Ministry, based in Toowoomba, for two years. Jessica's professional background is in marketing and advertising.
Kathy Asnicar
Kathy is a wife, mother of four, accountant and business owner with post graduate qualifications in Theology. She has a passionate desire to know her God, and to help people encounter God and to experience His love, grace and mercy. Kathy has been gifted by the Holy Spirit in the area of intercessory prayer and has much wisdom and experience to share with other women.
