Reflections on what we experience God doing through Emmanuel
I have a strong sense that God would seek to increase the capacity and ability in which we evangelise and reach those in need of Jesus. I also believe that He would desire us to draw from the place of worship and deep connection with Him both in corporate worship gatherings and in the Sacraments.
Recently I was sitting before the Lord in prayer and I was reminded about how amazing it is- that I, a lowly human being - can sit before the Lord of the universe and be completely myself, in freedom of conscience, baring my thoughts and soul to the Lord as I would with a friend.
Although the year of Grace does not officially begin until Pentecost, through my reflections on Lent, I feel as though my journey with it has already begun.
Grace is defined as “undeserved favour.”
I give thanks to Christ for the undeserved favour upon me and the opportunity to reflect on this throughout our Lenten season.
Our Zero Gravity camp last month finished up with 200 teenagers and leaders on a spiritual high. Anyone who has had any sort of mountain top faith experience knows the perils of ‘coming down the mountain’ and back to real life. These experiences can give us new energy, new direction and renewed faith, but we are not meant to live on the mountain.
