Mother Effect

Mother Effect is a Mothers Group inspired by the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, which operates every Wednesday morning during term time, 10:00-11:30am at the Emmaus Centre, cnr Herbert St & Central Ave, Paddington.

We seek to awaken and empower the domestic church by clearly demonstrating ways to celebrate the faith in homes from day to day. Our hope is that parents become effective communicators of the faith to their children.

We experiment with materials that aide in the clear communication of the Gospel message to children. We also have times where we share stories of what families have done in their homes to keep the faith alive. See what we do in the video below.

We are always open to new people joining in as we have plenty of space. There is no cost and the space is child friendly.

Every week we have a music time with dynamic instruments and a child friendly bible or scripture based presentation for the children. All the parents join in too as there is always more to learn and reflect upon.

Mother Effect is held Wednesday fortnights during school terms, 10:00-11:30am

We have two components to our mothers group.

  • One week we focus on growing motherhood and enjoying fellowship together. This is more about mothers getting together and having sisterhood time.
  • The next week we meet for a more structured setting with the specialised equipment suited to the growing child. This is where you will encounter a specialised environment which is inspired by The Catechesis of The Good Shepherd catering for the 0-3 year old child. We are also blessed to have a large grassy area for lots of free play too.
