What a privilege it is to prepare an environment where God can work! We need many volunteers to help make Ignite the best experience it can be. No matter what your gifts are, there are plenty of ways you can serve if you want to get involved!
If you would like to serve as a volunteer at Ignite, please note the information below. If you have served as a volunteer at a previous Ignite, you will notice that there is a different 'shift' structure this year.

Applying to Volunteer
Please note the following steps to apply to be a volunteer at Ignite.
- Complete the Online Volunteer Form.
(Alternatively, if you'd prefer you can download a form to print and return to the Ignite Office)
- Claire will reply to you with a discount code to use to register at the discounted volunteer price
Volunteer Shifts
There are 9 'shifts' in total over the Ignite Conference. During the volunteer application, you will be asked to indicate what level of involvement you would like to commit to. (NB. Full Ignite registration is $209)
- Part-time Volunteer = 4 shifts = $130
- Full-time Volunteer = 6+ shifts = $85
- Service only = no cost (only includes access to open sessions during the conference, and does not include food)

Please note the following regarding your shifts:
- You are able to nominate which shifts you would be available for volunteer roles. In choosing shifts, you may want to consider what conference sessions you would particularly like to attend.
(eg. If you're keen to do workshops but not bothered if you miss streams then you might choose the morning shift, etc)
- We will endeavour to place you in your preferred roles during these shifts, however we ask that you would be open to any roles that may be required of you.
- Your allocated role(s) may not last an entire shift and you will then be free to participate in part of the conference sessions, however please note that you will still be 'on call' if other tasks come up during that shift.
- Please note that meal times roles (BBQ, serving food, canteen) do not fit neatly into a shift, and may require an earlier start.
Training and Briefing Times:
- There will be Prayer Team and Child Protection training in the month before Ignite - dates to be confirmed.
- General briefing for all volunteers will be on Thursday 23 September, 3:30pm at the venue.
- All volunteers (18+) are required to have a current Blue Card , and we will request this information during your volunteer application. If you do not have a current Blue Card, please indicate this so we can help you apply for one in time.
Clean up:
- "Many hands make light work" and as we all know, at the end of a conference such as Ignite, the last thing most of us want to do is clean up, but it has to be done! We ask that ALL VOLUNTEERS would be available to help clean up on the Sunday (expected to be up to 2 hours)
